The farming industry in Indonesia is experiencing massive growth with a strong future demand projected for agricultural products. This is in line with estimation for the rest of the world population, which will increase to some USD8.9 billion by 2050.
Since 2008, Agromate via its subsidiary PT. Agro Tradisi has been an active partner in supporting our Indonesian stakeholders. Agriculture currently provides income for the majority of Indonesian households where an approximate 42% of the population are employed. The expansion of Indonesia’s rice and oil palm plantations is fueling a strong and healthy growth, which is why Agromate has expanded its operations here.
We currently market our products in the region through our Jakarta-based office and our extensive network of warehouses in Surabaya, Medan, Dumai, Pekan Baru, Palembang, Lampung, Pontianak and Samarinda with an annual turnover of 350,000 MT, accounting for some 20% of Agromate Holdings’ total manufacturing output.
